The ones who suffer most during this heat are the animals. Harry, for example, seeks out the cool tile of our downstairs bathroom.

Nice picture of Harry, if I do say so myself.....except....
This is what I see when looking at the picture:

It could have been worse. Since that bathroom is near the back deck, the floor usually has lots of mud on it and water and usually stray clothes from when the kids decide to have an impromptu water fight.
Yeah, it could be worse....or at least that's what I'll keep telling myself.
And note to self:
If you ever think white tile with white grout is a good idea, pull out this picture to remind yourself you have kids and dogs and it will NEVER stay white.

I just sold a house with white tiles and white grout.. If for no other, that was reason enough to ditch the house..
It's a mistake I won't make again!!! :):)
(Scrubbing grout with a toothbrush and bleach is no fucking fun!!)
I hear you about the toothbrush and bleach. I even usually threw in some baking soda to help. It did.....just took freaking forever. And got dirty the minute a child or dog walked into the room again.
Yep - bad choice on my part!
Poor Harry...he just looks miserable but he is soooo cute!
White is a no-no! We have off white with three kids and to dogs and it's always dirty and I am always stressed about it!
But Harry is sooooo cute :)
Love that sweet dog! And thanks for the tip on the tile/grout. Add "white walls" to that list as well. LOL.
